Sellers now set their own guarantee period
The dispute window used to be a flat 48 hours set by us and shown nowhere. Sellers now choose it per listing, up to 30 days, and you see it before you buy — backed by their own payout being held just as long.
Every order on ooeex has always come with a window to open a dispute if what you received is not what was described. Until now that window was the same everywhere: 48 hours, set by us, invisible on the listing.
From today it is set by the seller, shown before you buy, and it can be much longer.
What you see
Every listing now carries a guarantee period. Look for the shield next to the seller's name on a product card:
2d— the minimum, and what most listings start at7d,14d,30d— sellers who back their stock for longer
Open the listing and it is written out in full above the price, along with what it means: how long you have to open a dispute after delivery for a full refund.
2 days is the floor. No seller can go below it, and no listing can opt out. Sellers can only extend it.
Why a seller would offer more
Because it costs them something real.
A seller's payout for each sale is held for exactly as long as the guarantee they offered. Sell with a 30-day guarantee and you wait 30 days to be paid for that sale. The two numbers are the same number — we do not release a seller's money while a buyer can still dispute.
So a long guarantee is not a marketing badge. It is a seller putting their own payout behind the claim that their stock works. Read it that way.
The window is locked when you buy
The guarantee is recorded against your order at the moment of purchase. If the seller shortens it on the listing afterwards, your window does not move. What you saw when you paid is what you get.
Each item keeps its own window, too. Buy a 2-day item and a 14-day item in one order and each is disputable on its own schedule.
Nothing has been taken away
Existing orders keep the window they were placed under. Listings that have not set a guarantee show the 2-day platform default, exactly as before.
For sellers
You choose the period when you create a listing, and you can change it any time from the listing editor. The range is 2 to 30 days.
Two things to hold in mind:
- Your payout is held for the same period. Set 30 days and you wait 30 days for that money. Set it deliberately.
- Changes apply to new sales only. Editing a listing never shortens the window on an order already placed — that protection is not something we let anyone edit after the fact.
If you source stock you are confident in, a longer guarantee is the clearest way to say so on a page full of listings that look alike.
